About the Association
A healthy start... Growing with love
Omaymah Infant Feeding Association, licensed under number 1000866000 on April 1, 2026, by the National Center for the Non-Profit Sector, was established in response to the growing need to provide a more supportive and informed environment for mothers during pregnancy and postpartum, particularly regarding breastfeeding and safe infant nutrition. The association recognizes the critical importance of this early stage in the lives of both mother and child and seeks to provide support that empowers mothers to make informed health decisions with confidence and ease.
The association operates through a variety of programs and initiatives, including community awareness campaigns, specialized training for healthcare professionals and counselors, direct follow-up with mothers, individual consultations, and broader community outreach initiatives. It also focuses on building a supportive environment for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers within the community and healthcare facilities, providing the necessary tools and information to ensure continued breastfeeding and improved child health.
Additionally, the association aims to serve as a trusted scientific and educational platform by publishing research studies, academic references, and translating educational materials related to breastfeeding, offering a comprehensive source of knowledge for both mothers and professionals. All of this aligns with the association’s core mission: to enhance the motherhood experience and promote child health during the early years, with special attention to the needs of premature infants, children with delayed growth, and supporting mothers facing breastfeeding challenges or wishing to relactate after weaning.
