Programs that create a sustainable impact
We work to deliver comprehensive programs and initiatives that promote maternal and child health and support breastfeeding through counseling, training, awareness-raising, and community services, ensuring that support reaches families at every stage of motherhood.
Aloo Halimah Program
A program designed to support mothers in accessing breastfeeding services and specialized follow-up throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding stages through multiple communication channels that provide accessible and timely support.
Healthcare Staff Training
The program encompasses accredited courses related to breastfeeding and continuing education for healthcare professionals, as well as conferences, workshops, and specialized professional programs.
It includes: a breastfeeding course (20 hours), a complementary feeding counseling course, a Saudi Code course, a lactation counselor training course, a home visit team training course, a Training of Trainers (ToT) course, a national-level preparation course, and a course on preparing qualified personnel for the lactation program.
Step 10 Training
A program focused on preparing and qualifying women to provide breastfeeding counseling within the community based on WHO, UNICEF, and national training standards for certified counseling providers.
Induced Lactation Program
A program dedicated to educating, guiding, and training women interested in caring for unidentified infants through nationally and internationally approved induced lactation protocols.
The Thousand Days Program
Monitoring mothers throughout the first thousand days, from pregnancy until the child reaches two years of age, via call centers, with the provision of gifts and breastfeeding essentials such as breast pumps and milk storage supplies.
Halimah Digital Library
A specialized digital library that includes research papers, scientific studies, and references related to breastfeeding and infant nutrition, alongside annual publications in journals and scientific papers. The library also supports the translation of breastfeeding educational materials to provide a comprehensive scientific and educational reference.
Awareness Campaigns
The association organizes awareness campaigns and community initiatives that promote breastfeeding awareness and maternal and infant wellbeing.
The campaigns include: awareness-raising initiatives in secondary schools and universities; activities marking World Breastfeeding Week (the “Golden Loop” initiative); and community marches and parades in support of breastfeeding.
Halimah Majlis
Halimah Majlis creates welcoming spaces for mothers in public areas through breastfeeding rooms, guidance support, and small educational libraries that encourage shared experiences among mothers while applying the Mother-to-Mother Support approach in a comfortable and private environment.
The Laughing Hour Training Program
A professional training program linked to the implementation of Steps 2 and 10 of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative. The program focuses on improving the skills of breastfeeding counselors and supporters from healthcare teams and community members while providing certified training hours and professional licensing pathways for breastfeeding counselors.
